Meet the Team

OWNER / OPERATOR:

Hello I’m Tonya Dow! Thank you for your interest in Doggy Boot Camp!

Having only taken over in June 2014, I am currently working the business 7 days a week, and absolutely loving it!!! So if you see the trailer out and about, it is most likely me : ).

I grew up in country Victoria, Swan Hill and was surrounded by family who were wheat and sheep farmers.  My first pets were; a “Lassie”, Rough Collie dog called “Bonnie”, who was my loyalist companion and a gorgeous, Tabby cat named “Squeek”. Living in rural Victoria on the Murray River meant lots of experience with dogs, cats, sheep, mice, chickens, spiders, horses, birds, kangaroos, rabbits, lizards, snakes and fish.

Prior to Doggy Boot Camp I was working full time in administration and management at QLD Health for 3 years on temporary contracts. I have an extremely strong background in administration, management, tourism and customer service. I have been running my own business in some shape or form since 1994.

Now that I am back working for myself full time, and my clients are animals, I feel like I have found my calling.  I couldn’t be happier and promise I will love your pets as much as you do!!!

Come on down in the morning, on the weekend to the Pet Cafe and introduce yourself or give me a call on 0420 38 38 33.

Tonya’s Boarding and Rumble’s Doggy Day Care…..
Centrally located in Manunda, Doggy Boot Camp’s own boarding and daycare is very convenient to the city. Your host “Rumble”, (rescued from RSPCA Townsville) is a rare specimen, being a very placid, purebred Boxer. He graciously welcomes all those who visit, into his home and enjoys playing and running around our big back yard including the occasional bounce/rock on the trampoline. The first day of boarding (or daycare) includes a hydrobath at an additional charge of $10 per dog, but this charge is absorbed into the price should your dog’s stay be greater than 2 nights.
